Club departs Baltimore to Bermuda
on Royal
Caribbean's newly
refurbished Enchantment of
the Seas Sept. 17-22,
2011. This "end
of summer"
cruise allows you to lay out one last time
on the world's most famous pink beaches.
And if you like history, you'll love Bermuda.
It's filled with stories about pirates
who sold British guns to Americans during
the Revolutionary War while simultaneously
selling Tennessee whiskey to the British.
(Today we call them entrepreneurs!) In fact....by
the early 1900s Bermuda was having an outright
war with Texas over who produced sweeter
onions. Bermudans claimed Texans stole a
single packet of onion seeds from them in
1898 and planted the seeds in South Texas.
Texans began calling their famous sweet onion
a Vidalia. Bermudans called them,
"Stolen!" Texans declared Bermuda's
claim a "Tall Tale!" To this day
a road in Bermuda reminds locals of a war
gone bad with the Lone Star State. When you're
in Bermuda it's fun to
ride a motor scooter. Shopping is fabulous
too, in all the pretty pastel stores....but
pricey...since everything must be imported.
For luck you can walk through a Moongate
brought to Bermuda by seafaring captains
in the late 1800s from Japan and China. And
learn how a country, with no sources for
pure drinking water, captures
rain water flowing off lime stone roofs to
provide enough pure water for everyone.
Your cruise price includes daily water aerobics,
yoga, Zumba, deck walking sessions and
ballroom dance lessons too . Book this cruise early. Secure
a prime cabin now at its very
lowest price. Mid-ship cabins always sell out first. Welcome Aboard!
