MEMBERS COME HOME WITH RESULTS WHEN THEY CRUISE ~ "It is our expertise," says Program Director Jim Seeley, (shown above leading a deck walking class). The best fitness teachers in the country are invited to host our fitness cruises. We hold daily water aerobics classes, tai chi, yoga, deck walking, ballroom dance lessons and often we have Zumba available too. It will already be summer time temperatures when our cruise departs Galveston, TX next March. Few may know that Jamaica was the first Caribbean island Christopher Columbus ever discovered. You can take a ride on a river barge to see the very spot he first found. Columbus called it, "The fairest isle eyes ever beheld." We agree. Book this cruise now for a best price and cabin location. Call 800-955-9942 today. FOR VALENTINE'S NEXT YEAR GIVE YOUR SWEETHEART A CRUISE ~ You can take this cruise out of Baltimore. For East Coast club members it means no airports! Other members nationwide can fly into nearby BWI. What could be sweeter? announces its first cruise in 2013 for 13 days/12 nights at the low cost of only $1079.....well under $100 per day per person. For this cruise 13 will be a lucky number! Why not play it if you visit the casinos in San Juan? You already know about Puerto Rico's mystical rain forest, historical Fort and Old City. Puerto Rico's history is compelling, as is the history of every port where this ship docks. There will be no tenders. Walk off the ship onto every pier. St. John's in Antigua is particularly colorful because of its imposing St. John's Cathedral. This famous Anglican church is perched on a hilltop built on a fossilized reef. Destroyed by earthquakes in both 1683 and 1745 its stands today rebuilt a third time in 1848. It is famous for the biblical figures of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Divine. Their marbled heads rest atop the Cathedral after being stolen off a French ship. The Cathedral's two towers remind islanders it's never too late to 'believe.' But the real significance of this church is that it can hold a congregation of 2200 at one time. Ironically, in Antiqua is also Hell's Gate. It proves that while their local Cathedral was rebuilt by man three times in tribute to God.....nature is still in control. Hell's Gate proves nothing is permanent, not even the thickest, coldest massive rocks on Earth can defend themselves against nature. Representing the softer side of nature is the British Virgin Island Tortola, so named for its colorful turtles. Tortola is the largest BVI. The first day aboard ship Cruise Program Director Jim Seeley leads a deck walking class that includes a tour of the ship. "No lost folks on our cruises!," he brags. Enjoy daily water aerobics classes in the ship's indoor heated Solarium pool. Deck walking classes, tai chi, yoga and ballroom dance lessons are included in this cruise price too. Call now, "to reserve your sweetheart this deal," or better yet, to reserve this "sweetheart of a deal!" Call 800-955-9942 or 703-827-0414.

will cruise America's beautiful West Coast in 2012. The pleasure of your company is requested on this elegant cruise. See the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco where the ship will be docked overnight. Visit the world famous Zoo in San Diego too. It covers more than 100 acres. Tour the Zoo seated in a guided open air shuttle. No need to walk any where. Just sit back and enjoy seeing all the exotic animals. Outside of China....in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.....is the largest Chinese population in the world. Why not have lunch together there in Chinatown before departing? In Seattle the Space Needle is 605 feet tall. It takes 45 seconds for the elevator to reach the top floor. From this platform you can see the whole world! Well, OK. But for sure you can see Washington state, Oregon, Canada and Mt. Rainer...not to mention Puget Sound and the glorious lights of Seattle. What about Nanaimo? Canadians call it their "Hub, Tub and Pub" city because it‘s close to Vancouver, because it has bathtub races every summer that began during the Gold Rush days and because it has loud, risque pubs. Who wants a beer?! Hollywood movie stars like visiting Catalina Island because the beautiful people go there to be seen. So what are we waiting for!? At night it looks like Las Vegas. This is ironic since there is no gambling on Catalina Island. But there is plenty of dancing in the "round casino," which in Italian means "gathering place." On Victoria Island, when visiting Butchart Gardens, you can walk among 100 acres of flowers. What about Monterey? Did you know wineries in California produce 90% of all the wine in America? Only France and Australia produce more wine in the world. Missionaries in California in the 1700's produced wine for religious purposes. Thank Goodness! The shore excursions to ‘partake’ on this cruise will be to California's finest vineyards and wineries. Each day on the Century you will be pampered as you maintain good health habits. Certified fitness hosts will lead you in daily water aerobics in the ship's heated pool. Yoga and ballroom dance lessons are held too. Don't forget about deck walking. Four times around the ship's top deck equals one mile. It's always fun to walk together. A $450 fully refundable deposit today guarantees your reservation in a mid-ship position. You can cancel with a full refund too, if needed. Non-stop air from Washington, D.C. to Vancouver and then home again from San Diego is available in the low $500s. From Miami air will be about $350 total and from Albuquerque about $430 total. Call TwinsTravel at 703-583-2008 to learn about other air rates. This cruise exemplifies what is all about. Let's see the best of the West together in 2012! Call us at 800-955-9942.

IN 1725 CZAR PETER THE GREAT OF RUSSIA wanted to know if Asia and North America were connected by land. He commissioned Vitus Bering, a Danish sea captain, to explore the yet unknown North Pacific region. Berring sailed more than 6,000 miles over three years. He did discover a water way he named the Bering Strait. But because of dense fog he and his men never saw land. Fifty years later the famous British sea captain James Cook sailed along Alaska's coast too. He went as far north as the Bering Strait, as did other Spanish and French fleets. Over time, not quite sure about what lands they had actually found, all these sailors and shipping companies built up a huge fur industry in Alaska. But soon all the new Russian and European entrepreneurs lost interest in "that distant, cold land of Alaska" named by the Alute Indians. It means 'Great Land.' Seizing the opportunity, much like it did when it bought the Louisiana Purchase, the United States federal government in 1867, under the recommendation of U.S. Secretary of State William Seward, offered to pay the Russians $7,200,000 for all of Alaska...or 2 cents per acre. American citizens were hugely upset with this "unnecessary purchase of vast ice lands." They called it 'Seward's Folly.' No one knew then of Alaska's wealth in mineral resources. Nor did they know that one day Alaska would be the #1 vacation spot for world travelers to the United States. More tourists travel to Alaska every year than any other state in the union, including even New York and California. August is the best time of the year to visit Alaska because it is the driest, warmest, sunniest time of year in the nation's 49th State. It's when the whales return, the bears come out, the salmon swim upstream and Alaska's Husky dogs are happy to take you on sleigh rides. You'll board ship in Seattle. You can stay in our travel club's favorite hotel over looking Seattle's Space Needle. Why not have dinner in the Space Needle too? During the cruise be sure to tour Canada's Internationally recognized Butchart Gardens with more than 100 acres of flowers. And take the world famous train ride along Alaska's White Pass. Every day on the cruise you're invited to participate in water exercises, tai chi, stretch classes, deck walking and ballroom dance lessons. All classes are included in the price of your cruise. They are held in private for club members only. Take this cruise to Alaska in 2012. See it, touch it, feel it....while you still can.
